How to Export and Import WordPress Users
Firstly, you need to export the information of your WordPress users. Here, you cannot rely on the default WordPress tool of Export, which can be got by hitting the Tools > Export button. After all, this tool only allows you to export the contents for your website media, pages and posts.
When it comes to the export of user information, you need to leverage the Cimy User Manager plugin. With it, you can easily export users to the CSV files.
Here, you can directly click the Users tab once you have installed this plugin, and then, you need to press the Cimy User Manager button. From this page, you can find two main parts, which are the Import Users part and the Export Users part.
Export WordPress Users
Now, you need to scroll down to the export option. Here, you firstly can find the upload path that is used to store the CSV file containing the user information. Note that this plugin will make sure that this path is totally writeable.
Next, you can select the field delimiter and the text delimiter for the CSV file. By default, this plugin uses commas and quotes to separate field and text respectively. However, if you’d like to use this file in somewhere else, you can change the values as you like.
Now, you should determine how to sort the rows in the exporting file. Note that you have the options to sort based on user registration date, login name, email address, post count, website URL and the displayed name.
Lastly, if you are looking to use the CSV file with the tool of Microsoft Excel, you can enable the special Excel Compatibility mode.
As every part is determined properly, you can click the Export button now. This way, this plugin will automatically export all your user information, and then, save the data on your server using the CSV file. Once you have checked the success message along with a download button, you can click that button to save the file on your local computer.

As for the importing of WordPress users, you still need the help of this plugin. In this case, you firstly should make sure that you already have it installed on the site that you are looking to import users. And then, you can visit the Cimy User Manager page again and navigate to the Import Users part this time.
Here, you can select the previously downloaded CSV file for uploading and choose the proper delimiters for field and text.
