Installing Easy Watermark Plugin
The first step you need to take is to install the WordPress plugin. Just like many other plugins’ installation, you have to visit the dashboard of your WordPress admin and then click the “Add New” button under Plugin part. Entering the keywords “Easy Watermark” into the search box, the page in below will come out.
Managing Key Easy Watermark Settings
After activation, you can find that the plugin is presented in your Setting menu. There are three tabs on Easy Watermark Settings page, including General, Image and Text.
For the first tab, you can choose “Auto Watermark” which can automatically add watermark when you upload images. Next, you are able to decide your image types, image sizes, watermark type and the quality of your images. Also, you can decide whether watermark on upload is available for editor, author or every user.
After setting the general tab, you have to save it and move forward to the Image option. Now you can notice that such settings are available for you to upload an image as watermark image. Here is a tip you should pay attention to. You’d better make sure that “Auto Watermark” option is canceled or text watermark is not set if you want to upload a new watermark image, or the new image will be added with the previous watermark.
After uploading the watermark image, you can choose the image alignment, scaling mode, image offset and the opacity of your watermark.
Of course, image is not the only thing that can be regarded as watermark. If you want to take text as your watermark, you have to go with the third tab – Text. Just like watermark image, you can set your text color, size angle, opacity, and so on. But first of all, you need to enter the words or text which will be displayed as watermark.
After the steps mentioned above, this plugin will automatically adds watermark on your images according to your requirements.
Adding Watermark to Old Images
Sometimes, you may want to add watermark on the images that have already been in your media library. You can visit Easy Watermark in Media menu to check two options – start and restore. With start button, you can quickly apply the watermark to all the images in your media library. The restore button enables you to remove watermark from all images by restoring the original image files. To prevent any accident that may harm your images, we suggest you to backup your files in media library.
There are two points about the start button you need to take care. The first one is even if the images in your library already have watermark, this button also add new watermark to it. The other point is that the action of adding the watermark to all the images in library can not be undone during the watermarking process.
